Jeans Jeans JEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by RH

Okay, so I love jeans I LOVE them!!! LOL! I think I wear them more them more then anything. The first pair are made by True Religion. Before you guys go crazy they are only $179.00 at Nordstroms. That is a Great price for what true religions normally cost. Anyway, with this pair of jeans you can pair a wonderful blazer any color with the right shoes, and go out to lunch, go on a date, or even casual FRIDAY's! :) The next pair of jeans are from Ralph Lauren's Denim & Supply line which I find myself shopping on more then a person should. Hahaha....... But, I saw these and went crazy yes they are a bit more but for the detail and fun of it all I had to put them up!! I LOVE THESE JEANS!!!!! OK now Last but not least I just had to let you guys see this. Last but, never LEAST!!! There is a young man in Los Angles who is one of the greatest designers I have seen in a long time. REALLY!!!! SO go visit his website at http://www.tevincent.com/ he is great!! His jacket is amazing if you have this in you closet think you will be the only one in the world with it! That all for my jeans. Do Make a Statement

Statement pieces are all the rage at the moment. We're being bold with our lip color, our shoes, our bag...you name it! I know for us ladies when we step out we are definitely out to make an announcement that we've arrived and all eyes need to zoom in on me...just for a second and then you can carry on with what you were doing. I know when I get dressed in the morning, I look for that one piece that's going to make my outfit pop. If it's my hair, then I'll let my hair shine. If it's my make up, I'll let that do it's thing. If it's my jewelery, then I'll let that represent. Take chances with your outfits. You can take the simplist outfit and turn it into something spectacular with just one thing. Have fun and let your personality be free! M.W.

I've been slacking big time on my post and I apologize for that. I have defintely missed blog-world but just haven't had the time. Here we go! Found this BEAUTIFUL vintage handmade piece at Goodwill for...$5...that's right! I can't wait until it gets a little cooler outside to sport this piece around. I paired this with a pair of skinny jeans and motorcycle boots just for an edgy look but you can pair something like this with a pair of tights or black stockings and a leopard heel or black heel if you aren't feeling that daring. You can do a lot of things with this but I'd keep it pretty simple and allow that piece to be the center focus!

Every Woman Needs...

A pair of amazing graphic, textured, fan-tab-ulous shoes!

I got this pair of Steve Madden's at one of my most favorite of places to shop Buffalo Exchange in Austin, Texas for under $20. It was definiately a steal considering the shoes were nearly unworn!

I have to tell you, it's thrift finds like this that keep me shopping.

I love wearing these with something basic to a pair of jeans and a white tee to a floral patterned dress with colored tights. From basic to complicated, a pair of fun shoes will not only make you look done-up but make you feel done-up.

Don't be afraid to strut your stuff and a freeing pair of whimsical funky kicks!

I’m not skinny by any means but, that is no reason for my style to suffer. Fashion became real for me when I found that it was really hard for men of my full figured nature to find clothing. It was so hard to dress the way I wanted. I began this furious search to find things that I could wear to accomplish my modern classic look. My triumph was in custom clothing. It CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! LOL!! But, it cost a fortune and for the average person not working in corporate America I had to find something. So, I will share my finds with you. The world is an open book and I am going to read it to you page by page. Big men we can and we will look good no matter what!!! (Ok off my soap box now) LOL!!

I am also a lover of antiques and I like add a little modern touch to bring them back to life. I am always looking for the different, unknown, one of a kind item’s in fashion, music, and art. I feel that your style should be as unique as you are. Just like there is no one person on this planet exactly alike. Styles can be similar but, the little distinctive variations placed on one’s style can make it one of a kind.

If fashion is a hobby, music is my obsession. Where we can’t speak music can. Music to me inspires style and provokes the artistic manifestation of the heart. I feel like I can’t go a day without music. It seems to find a way into my life no matter what I am doing. Jazz, Classical, Rock, Hip Hop, Garage, Electronic, Pop, Folk I love it all equally. It allows me to see Dallas in a vast array of colors. Dallas will always be home. I have lived here for 19 yrs. Yet, I constantly discover new attributes. I LOVE THIS CITY!!! Come visit you will be impressed I PROMISE!!! J

I am absolutely fearless when it comes to the clothes I wear! Fashion and style is organic, and like people it’s constantly changing. To pick a certain set of words to define my style would be so very difficult! I do live by one rule however, ALWAYS keep it classy. If you find something you love, get it. Work it. Turn it into your own creation.

I believe that each person is an artist and can create something beautiful. It just takes a touch of inspiration. I find inspiration all around me. In the music I listen to, the foods that I eat, the places that I go… Inspiration is everywhere we just have to open our eyes and see it! Now, I'm by no means rich, but you don’t have to be to have great style or even great pieces in your wardrobe. You just have to know where to look! And you are SO in the right place.

I’m a thrifty lady in my grey Yaris, and I can’t wait to live with my almost-roomie Myles! And remember, when you're with me, it's the only time you're not the strangest person in the room. So go ahead, get weird with me.

MYLES’ style is influenced by a mishmash of bohemian (Nicole Richie) + hipster (the streets of Austin) + sophistication (Carolina Herrera) = bohohipsticated (I’m trademarking that)!

I don’t have a lot of $ to spend on supporting my passion for fashion, but even if I did I wouldn’t, so I explore the thrift racks frequently. That is my favorite past time. If I see a Goodwill, Salvation Army, or random thrift store, you bes’ta believe I’m stopping and walking out with at least one item.

I’ve proudly decorated my studio apartment under $100, I refuse to buy anything thrifted or clearance for over $10 and I will not spend more than $20 for anything new. These rules actually keep me out of a lot of trouble financially and like Susan Orman says, “The best way to save money is to not spend money”! BOOM! That makes sense.

Also…I’m also part of the “Natural Sistas Hair Club” (made that name up, it’s not really a club more of the culture of today for most African/Black American men and women) so I’ll probably be sharing parts of my journey with you to BSL (beyond shoulder length) kinky curls from my BC (big chop) decision made in June of 2010!

Aside from my P4F (passion for fashion) I am an aspiring Best Selling Author, inspiring youth & women’s mentor, and lover of all things ART! I have a creative spirit that is always spinning and I hope to one day to be able to spend my days freely creating and fully enjoying creation. We really do live in a beautiful world, embrace it!
