I love to wear scarves, so instead of wearing them in a traditional way , folded into a triangle, draped over my shoulders and tied on the side; I’ve decided to shape them into “necklaces” by using knots!
- You start off with a very inexpensive scarf of your liking, I usually find mine a thrift stores for less than $2 – I’VE EVEN FOUND A RALPH LAUREN SCARF FOR A WOPPING .99!
- You then fold your scarf in half (corner to corner making a triangle)
- Roll the scarf starting at the pointy tip towards the long straight side of the scarf
- Gather the scarf in the middle and make a knot, synching it tighter and tighter to make a really good solid knot
- After you’ve made that center knot you’re going to make as many knots as you like on either side of the scarf
- Once you’ve done your knots, make one final tie to “seal the deal” and drape the necklace over your head (or if it’s shorter you may have to actually tie it around your neck)
Volia (Wal-lah)! Your scarf is complete. Styles may vary so have fun!
