Trousers...

Ok, I have to tell you. The first time I wore these pants I was a little nervous and I'm not sure why but boy-o-boy these things rock! Again paired with jean. Who's says you can't or shouldn't wear two different jeans. I layered my jean top with a jean vest. I think it's perf! If you don't care to heavily accessories that day, throw a fun scarf on your bag and jet.

First of all, I love jeans. This jean shirt is one of my favorite pieces I own. This skirt is indeed a crazy lookin' something but that's why I like it AND it has pockets which make it that much more awesome.

Lace and Ruffles

This is definitely a date night fit. You can actually throw a belt on with just about anything especially when you want to make a boxy cut more feminine or if you want to make a man pieces (button downs, blazers, boyfriend sweaters) more girlie.

belt - Papaya ($1)

Jeans and Whatnot

One of my favorite items to wear are jeans. I have probably 20 if not more pairs of jeans. Dark, indigo, skinny, wide, trouser, cropped, shorts, skirts, tops, and vest...that's love!

top - Target (under $5)
vest - Walmart ($3)

accessories

Wearing stuff like this is just fun. When putting two basic pieces together (especially if one of those pieces is as dramatic as this skirt)...do accessories! I used ribbon to tie around my waist as a belt and clipped a brooch for some kick. Use feathers, bows, jewels. Just have fun!

black tank - Target ($6)
lemon colored chiffon skirt - THRIFT FIND - Savors ($8)
ribbon - Walmart ($1 and change)
brooch - hand-me-down

F.T.F

F.T.F stands for "First Things First". Before establishing your own style here's what you've got to know...

F.T.F - Forget about trends! It's cool to pick up things from the latest fades but don't thread for thread feel the need to follow them. If you want you're own style, take bits and pieces of things you find in the mag and on your fav celebs and make them apart of your refined style.

F.T.F - Always, and I mean always, be true to you! If you like polo shirts, make it your staple. If you like bold lips or eyes, make it a trademark. Embrace those corky attributes of what makes you, you. I love "work shirts" (collared button downs), V-necks, jeans, and boots! I make sure every time I step out that I have at least one (if not all) of these items on. Pair your favorite item with something something old, something new, and always with a splash of color or pattern.

F.T.F - Throw in bright colors! Don't be afraid to wear lemon yellow or tangerine orange. Colors will definitely brighten your mood and give you an energy throughout your day. GO FOR IT!

F.T.F - Use patterns! If it's your bag, your shoes, your pants, or your top, be sure to use a pattern or two. Patterns break up solid colors and just makes things fun! Florals, Strips, Polka Dots...whatev's

F.T.F - Throw on the red lip! You know, I used to be frightened of the red lip but the more confident I become, the more I like it. It doesn't matter what color you are, you can throw on the red lip. Casual or fun night out with the gal pals, why not!

F.T.F. - Create "The Look". The most important thing is to always take with you is your smile. More than wanting to be stylish, never leave the house without your laughter and your fun.
